Alyssa Micha was born and raised in the Southern Tier of New York, and began working in the medium of film photography at the age of 12. She received her bachelor's degree in Cinema Production with a Photography minor from Ithaca College in 2009.
Since then she has been working professionally as a photographer, filmmaker, and in television production. Currently she is the Senior Creative Producer for WSKG Public Media (PBS affiliate station) located in Vestal, NY.
She has also been a festival director and curator for the Transient Visions Festival of the Moving Image, an experimental film festival, for the last 12 years.
